The Echo Delivery Android & iOS app is a simple and intuitive way for users to order food that will be delivered to their door from a variety of restaurants.
To login, users have the possibility to quickly create an account based on user and password or to login via Facebook. In order to create, validate and modify the account, the phone number of the person who intends to use the system is required. Users can also create a detailed profile in the application, with photo, first and last name, email address. The system allows the user to select the restaurant where he/she wants to place an order, but he/she has the possibility to add products from only one location to the shopping cart.
If the user intends to add dishes from another restaurant's menu to the shopping cart, the current shopping cart will be cancelled and replaced with the user's new preferences set for the second restaurant. Within the application, each location has a photo gallery, description, optional data (phone number, website, add menu in PDF format) and a restaurant menu where are presented the products by category, respectively menu of the day, pizza, soups, etc. In turn, each of the available menu items has a product page with picture, name, ingredients, options (e.g. sizes for pizza) and selection of optional products such as toppings.
Users have the possibility to add products to favourites, with the option to place them directly in the shopping cart. Also, once they have selected certain dishes, they can edit the quantity that will be ordered, list or delete products from the cart. Order status can be checked in real time, as the restaurant changes it progressively. If the order has been picked up for delivery via the taxi app, then the status will be changed according to the driver's choice (order in progress / order delivered). The application displays the restaurants within a certain distance to the user, taking into consideration the distance from the user that placed the order or the order set in the administration panel.
Customers will be informed via the Closed/Open option, if the restaurant is still accepting orders. If the restaurant is closed, the user can add products to the shopping cart and can place the order after the opening hours. The voucher system and the refferal system offer the possibility to promote the application by awarding order bonuses to users that use it.
