Mobile Application Overview:
Application "La Strada" dedicated to reception and delivery food orders is a complex project which consists in three applications: web, mobile intended for customers and mobile intended for operators.
Functionality that distinguishes it from other similar applications is the possibility to track customer in real time on the map in relation to the delivery location.
Meanwhile, besides the constant updates on the map, the client has permanent access to order status, delivery time and receive phone alerts when the order came to location.
The application runs on major mobile operating systems, Android and iOS.
As mentioned above, the application was developed in three different directions with specific roles:
- Web application - Specifications:
- manage products;
- management of orders, customer and promotions;
- the management of payment methods and customer locations;
- advanced reports on orders, operators and receipts.
2. Application Mobile Client - Specifications:
- system of registration and login accounts;
- management of account details: Profile information, phone number, location of delivery, etc.
- geolocation system allows the application to identify the coordinates on the map to determine the location of customer;
- display menu items and categories with the possibility of selection and acquisition;
- selection of delivery location from a list;
- View real-time order status and position on the map;
3. Mobile Agent application - Specifications:
- the system developed in this application can continuously monitor the location of the agent;
- the application displays orders to be managed by operators;
- the operator is able to view all the details of an order to take over and displays a map with directions location route;
- location of the operator are sent to the client to be able to track them in real time on a map in relation to the delivery location;
"La Strada" is an important chain of restaurants in Norway which, from the necessity to ease the way of how their customers command their orders, contacted many online platforms of home delivery. Finally, the most sustainable solution was to develop their own mobile application for delivery orders.
